I'm going to have to ask everyone in the audience to conceal their jealousy of this alarm clock for just a few moments. I grabbed it at a yard sale this morning for $3, figuring that I needed a new alarm clock since my previous one is now in a couple of dozen pieces (I'll save that story for another day).

Picked up this Canon 50mm f/1.8 II from a guy on Craigslist for $50. He said he had slight focusing issues on his 30D, but I suspect that it could have been an issue with his body, such as a firmware update or something similar, because I haven't experienced any problems with it yet. I was planning on grabbing one new for about $100, so this is quite the steal.

Here's the first photo I took from it when I was testing it out. I was surprised at it's sharpness, and it's speed at f/1.8. Very happy that I bought it.

Hello fellow interneters. Over the course of the past week, I've been doing some preparations for life (attempting to get a job, getting ready to go to school in the Fall), and I kinda realize that I don't need to have a photo-a-day thing anymore, and that a month was really enough for me to start to gain some experience of my own, so this blog is now turning into just a moderately updated photo-blog. :P

I have a few projects in the works that I will also be posting here (some audio work, some coding, some graphical stuffs, etc). Fun all around, eh?
