Review: LensHero.com

I was browsing around a favorite photography blog, and they had mentioned LensHero as a nice resource for photographers (especially for beginners, like myself) to search out for new lenses that fit their need and cost. As I have been looking around for the right next lens for my kit, this site really had my interest. :P

The service asks you for your camera model, your price range, and then you can narrow it down by what type of photos you want to take with the lens. I'm probably going to sell my kit Canon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens, I don't use it anymore and I would like some more flexibility, and I need to keep the budget under $300. So, after using LensHero my next goal is the Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS, which is more of what I am looking for, for about $300. Not bad.

Right now LensHero is running a contest, and they're giving away t-shirts and other awesome stuff for those who enter.

International Balloon Fiesta - Day Uno

Went to the International Balloon Fiesta today. It's funny, 'cause this evening, the balloon glow (the ballons all light up at night) was cancelled due to wind, so I get to come back another day with my ticket stub. Oh well.

Awesome Alarm Clock is Awesome

I'm going to have to ask everyone in the audience to conceal their jealousy of this alarm clock for just a few moments. I grabbed it at a yard sale this morning for $3, figuring that I needed a new alarm clock since my previous one is now in a couple of dozen pieces (I'll save that story for another day).
